A couple of weeks ago Jason and his friend Greg went backpacking in the Red Pines area. I dropped them off at the trail head around 5:30pm. They hiked to May bird gulch just before the sun went down. They sent up the tent and wonder around until they came upon a baby moose and they decided that it would be better to head back and get dinner going. Another couple ended up coming up pretty late and camped by them. They had a 3 month old baby with them, which was crying. So when they did get to sleep, they slept in pretty late. They didn’t even get up until 9! Who can sleep that late in a tent? I’m up as soon as the sun is! They ate breakfast and took some pictures and set out on the trail back down. They got back to the trail head pretty fast because they decided to run! Crazy people!
